Certification Mark and Logo Policy

1. Purpose

This policy defines the conditions and guidelines for the proper use of the QMSAI Certification Mark and Logo by certified ISO auditors. It ensures compliance with ISO/IEC 17024:2012 Clause 9.9, maintaining the integrity, credibility, and professionalism of QMSAI’s certification process.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all individuals and organizations certified by QMSAI. It governs the use of the QMSAI certification mark and logo in all promotional, business, and communication materials, including digital and print media.

3. Policy Statement

QMSAI grants certified auditors the right to use its certification mark and logo to demonstrate their certification status. However, usage must comply with specific conditions to prevent misuse or misrepresentation. Any unauthorized or inappropriate use may result in disciplinary actions, including certification suspension or withdrawal.

4. Definitions

Certification Mark: The official QMSAI mark signifying that an individual or organization is certified as an ISO auditor.

Logo: The official QMSAI logo used to represent the certification body.

5. Conditions for Use

5.1 Authorization to Use the Certification Mark and Logo

  • Only current and valid QMSAI-certified auditors are permitted to use the certification mark and logo.
  • The certification mark and logo are non-transferable and cannot be used by third parties.

5.2 Acceptable Uses

  • Certified auditors may use the QMSAI certification mark and logo on:
  • Business cards, resumes, and letterheads
  • Websites and email signatures
  • Promotional materials and professional documents
  • All usage must include a clear reference to the certification, such as:
  • "Certified ISO Auditor by QMSAI"
  • "ISO Auditor Certification (QMSAI)"

5.3 Prohibited Uses

  • The mark and logo must not be used to imply that QMSAI has certified products, services, or business activities beyond an individual’s certification.
  • Certified auditors must stop using the mark and logo if their certification is suspended, withdrawn, or expired.
  • The mark and logo must not be altered, distorted, or modified in any way

6. Design and Display Guidelines

6.1 Certification Mark and Logo Design

  • The mark and logo must be used as provided by QMSAI, without alterations in color, proportions, or design.
  • QMSAI will provide guidelines on minimum size, resolution, and placement for both print and digital formats.

6.2 Display Requirements

  • The certification mark and logo must be clear, professional, and easily recognizable.
  • They must not be placed alongside unrelated logos that could create confusion or imply endorsement by QMSAI.
  • Digital usage should include a link to the QMSAI certification directory where applicable.

7. Monitoring of Use

7.1 Compliance Monitoring

  • QMSAI regularly monitors the use of its certification mark and logo to ensure compliance.
  • Certified auditors may be required to submit examples of how they are using the mark and logo.

7.2 Misuse and Violations

  • Unauthorized use of the certification mark and logo may result in:
  • Formal warning and corrective action requests
  • Suspension or withdrawal of certification
  • Legal action to protect QMSAI’s integrity

8. Termination of Certification and Use

8.1 Suspension or Withdrawal

Certified auditors must immediately stop using the certification mark and logo if their certification is suspended or withdrawn. Failure to comply may lead to further disciplinary or legal actions.

8.2 Expiration of Certification

  • If certification expires and is not renewed, the individual or organization must cease using the certification mark and logo on all materials.
  • Any existing materials must be updated or removed.

9. Appeals and Complaints

9.1 Appeals Process

  • Certified auditors may appeal decisions related to the suspension or withdrawal of their rights to use the certification mark and logo.
  • Appeals must be submitted in writing within 30 days, and an independent committee will review the case.

9.2 Complaints Handling

  • Complaints regarding misuse of the certification mark and logo can be reported to QMSAI.
  • QMSAI will investigate all complaints and take appropriate action to resolve any violations.

10. Confidentiality

QMSAI will treat all information related to certification mark and logo usage with strict confidentiality in line with its Confidentiality Policy. Information will only be disclosed to authorized personnel involved in compliance monitoring and enforcement.

11. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or when significant updates occur in QMSAI’s certification processes or ISO/IEC 17024:2012 requirements. Updates will be communicated to all certified auditors and stakeholders.
